Fall of 2018 for Casual Panache Inc. - Creative Brief

ABOUT - The Beer Caramelizer is the alcohol version of roasting marshmallows. This product allows you to “ex-beer-iment” by roasting the steel tip in the fire until it glows red, indicating that it’s time to plunge the Caramelizer into your mug of beer. Once it is dipped into your beer, the flash of heat from the Caramelizer reacts with the sugars in the alcohol/beverage, creating a richer and smoother taste. The Beer Caramelizer crafts a new flavor of beer each time you heat the rod and dip it into your glass, enhancing your experience of drinking beer by the fire.

WHAT - Redesign the packaging of The Beer Caramelizer and design printed marketing content in tandem.

WHY - Our goal was to target a larger audience instead of primarily targeting men, to provide a more sleek and sturdy package to our consumers, to provide more clarity as to what our product is and does.

HOW - To broaden our target audience and to provide a more elegant look to the package, we decided to change the base color that was originally made to mimc craft paper and keep it minimal by using white. I included the brand color as an accent on the two sides and the top and bottom of the package. I replaced the illustration on the front of the package to an image of our Beer Caramelizer in action to provide immediate clarity of what the product is when a consumer views it on a shelf or online. I included a few extra icons to further demonstrate the instructions on how to use the product.
